Essential Oils for the Hangover
Natural essential oils are extracted from different parts of the plants (flowers, leaves, bark, roots, fruits…) and used to relieve numerous discomforts. Considering the properties of plants, these are the most recommended essential oils to mitigate hangover symptoms. And, of course, don’t forget to increase your water intake – it’s the best remedy of all.
Rosemary essential oil
Rosemary is used for hangovers, especially to combat headaches since this plant favors the blood circulation of the brain. Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) has analgesic, digestive and tonic properties. An extra benefit is that rosemary counteracts the effects of free radicals produced by excessive alcohol consumption. Add a drop of rosemary essential oil in hot water.

Grapefruit essential oil
The aroma of the essential oil of grapefruit, extracted from the grapefruit peel, provides energy and helps improve concentration upon waking with a hangover. Apply a few drops of grapefruit essential oil on warm cloth and breathe deeply several times.
Lavender essential oil
